So today I got to do an assessment to see how healthy I am at this point in my life. Thankfully I am in a "good" place in my life. However there are some areas that deserve to be improved. Some I don't really have the power to change, like getting more sleep. But I realize that I get to make some changes like working out and making healthy eating choices. I got really sick a couple weeks ago and decided that soda just really didn't sound good. So I haven't even been tempted to drink a soda for almost 2 weeks now. Pretty sweet huh :) I feel a lot better not drinking it too so it is something I am committed to stick to :D
I have also ordered some healthier options for groceries- side note, I get my groceries delivered to my home now. haha sounds lazy but there are great benefits to it, I am not tempted to go down the ice cream or sweets isle, it saves whatever extra time I might have in my crazy life to spend doing other things :) and I actually save money by just buying the basics. But like I said, I have changed my order and have gotten some pretty healthy items on their way now :)
I have decided that after I get out of school at night I will go to the gym at least for an hour. I get out of school at 10pm so its pretty late for a workout but late is better than never right? I have really been into yoga lately and luckily we get to do it at my school on Monday nights, I'd really love to find a class to join daily, maybe when I figure out a better way to balance school and work I will be able to find a class somewhere :)
Also, with these changes I know I get to be easy on myself. I am taking baby steps until I am able to push myself further. By blogging it, I am making a declaration to you and to me that I am committed to do this.
I am committed to go the distance! :D
