I AM Commited To....

Well, first and foremost I am commited to get my blog back up and running- for anyone who is still interested in reading it. I have been doing alot of self evaluation lately and pondering upon things I'd like to change or improve. I have decided to write a blog each day (well Mon-Fri since I don't have internet at home) and with each post I am going to declare a commitment I am taking on in my life. There is an amazing song by John Legend Called "If You're Out There" the words are incredible it is part of my inspiration for change:

I didn't make a post yesterday on here, instead I posted on Facebook that I am commited to pick up any trash I pass by so I can make a difference in this world by cleaning up Mother Earth. Each day I will make a new commitment and carry them out each day I live, I invite any and all of you to join. We dont have to wait for Destiny, WE CAN BE THE CHANGE WE WISH TO SEE!!!! :D Its that simple! Lets change the world one person, one day, one good deed at a time!

My Commitment for today is:
Eating Healthy.
And my commited action for the day was starting off with soy milk and cantelope for breakfast,
a Snack of Low Fat String Cheese and 1/2 cup unfrosted animal crackers (gotta have some kinda of treat) ;)
Herb rice and Butternut Squash for lunch with a cup of Strawberries and water to drink.
Haven't quiet got to dinner plans yet. But I am commited for it to be somethine healthy and delicious! :D

There have been some other things I've done before putting this idea into full force. I have commited to stop drinking soda and its been almost 2 weeks and I havent even had a craving for it!!! :D

And one of the most amazing changes I have made in my life starting last weekend is doing my Yoga and Meditation again this time- MORNING AND NIGHT! woo whoo go me ;) haha

it feels great making these changes in my life. NO MORE I CANT'S....from here on out its, YES I CAN! :D

School Daze... :D

So, there has been alot of working and school going on lately in my life and not much else. But school has been great, we had a final the other day where we had to do a specific color application and cut- we could modify them however we wanted though as long as they followed the guide lines, here is the before and after pic of my model. Turned out pretty good- I was a little worried since the actual cut is not very attractive, I will post that pic as well so you can see what I mean.

Then the next day at school we had a photo shoot competition where we made up our own cuts and color application. I had a girl from my ward model for my group. Things went ok, I was a little upset with myself since I wasnt able to style her hair the way I wanted to with the lack of time :( I cant wait to get the professional shots though, the photographer would show us the pics as he took them so that was a great experience. here are the pics from my phone though.

We also had a CONTROL FORCE hair competition where you just use the AVEDA CONTROL FORCE hairspray to style hair in an "uplifting" manor lol. I did mine in a mo hawk and rocked it the rest of the day...good times :)

I deserve to do a lot more updating with this blog but I dont have internet at home :( I have a ton of pics from when my family came to visit me. We had 10 people in my tiny one bedroom apartment for 2 weeks haha...not everyone was in the apartment every day but still it was a bunch of sardines smashed into a can :P my lease is up soon though so now the search is on for somewhere to fit my fam when they come to visit. :)
